History

In 2003 Scentsy was created by Colette Gunnell and Kara Egan. Two women who shared the idea of bringing together the fragrances that sparked memories of great moments in their lives with the safe, sensible, and decorative flameless candles. Together, these women created the idea of a decorative warmer that melted the wax safely and allowed the fragrant aromas to fill their homes. A year later, in 2004, Orville Thompson attended a home show in Salt Lake City and he saw the ingenious candles. Orville knew immediately that Scentsy would one day be a household buzz word.

Aroma therapy

The fragrances used in the Scentsy candles are inspired by the memories of the Scentsy team. When Orville brought this new product back to his wife, he was intrigued to find that the scents inspired much laughter and the sharing of many memories between family members. Scentsy had developed scents from the bakery that fill your home with fresh baked smells and bring up memories of cooking with mom or grandma on the holidays. They also have a Spring and Summer collection that will fill you room with scents of a the Beach vacations you took as a child, or the Herb Garden you spent so much time in as a kid. The Fruits and Flowers will inspire you to eat a Juicy Peach and reminisce about trips to the orchard. The Romance line will set the mood in your home for a special evening with your significant other. The Nature scents will remind you of camping trips and walks through the forest with friends.

The Warmers

The decorative warmers come in a very large variety of colors and styles. These unique warmers run on a 25-watt bulb, that melts the wax slowly, and therefore releases the scents over time. They use no flame, and no wick, and they provide a safe, effective and enjoyable way to fill your home with more than 80 Scentsy scents. The warmers very in motif from Classic to Retro Chic. The Plug-In

Scentsy also offers warmers that plug right into your small spaces. You can use one of these plugin warmers to leave a bathroom smelling sweet, or a walk-in closet smelling refreshed. These plug-in come with a detachable base, for quick and easy changes of fragrances and bulbs.

One of the must original inventions of Scentsy in the Car Candle. They hang from you car mirror, in lockers and in closets and they leave the air smelling crisp and clean. You can use on bar in multiple warmers, or you can mix and match scents together, to create your own individual fragrance. This makes your options endless.
