Everyone has a different figure and knowing how to dress to suit your shape can be stressful and time-consuming. First of all, you need to know what kind of shape you have. It can seem difficult to identify which one you are and until you know for certain, you won’t know which clothes are going to suit you, sometimes without you even needing to try them on! So, here they are. The apple shape, the pear shape, the athletic shape and the hourglass shape. You might already know which one you are off the top of your head, but if you don’t, carry on reading to discover more. You have slender shoulders, an ample bosom, a tiny waist sloping into curvy hips and finally smoothing into shapely thighs. You’re the shape every woman would ideally like to be - the hourglass. When it comes down to it, all you really have to focus on is accentuating that teeny little waist. Proportion is the key to achieving the perfect silhouette. You may think yourself unlucky if you have an apple-shape, but this isn’t true at all. Apple-shapes have beautiful, slender legs, allowing you to wear almost any length skirt or dress so long as they aren’t too short - this will result in drawing too much attention to your midsection. Even though you have a smaller bosom and narrower hips, that doesn’t mean you can’t put some emphasise on your waist. Like any shape, all you have to do is thrown a belt around your middle, wear waist-curved fitted shirts or wrap around dresses with embellishments around the bust and hip areas. If you have a pear-shaped figure you will have a less ample bosom, but a tiny little waist and gorgeous, curvy hips. Your shoulders will be small and elegant and your arms will likely be slender. You’ve probably got shapely pins, too! Balance is still important when dressing a pear-shape. Wider hips will naturally draw the eye, so you have to put your body back in proportion which means drawing more attention to your upper half. Like the hourglass, you’re lucky enough to be able to get away with tighter fitting tops, but choose shirts with embellished busts, deep necklines and empire lines to give the illusion of a bigger bosom. Structured shoulders will help to achieve balance with your wider hips. Try A-line skirts that start around your waist and skim over your hips, wrap around dresses and dark jeans that have a slight flare. Last, but definitely not least, is the athletic shape. On top of having thin, shapely legs, you have perfectly in proportion shoulders and hips, meaning you can get away with wearing almost any fitted clothing so long as you remember to add the illusion of a waist using a belt or wear a wrap-over dress or shirt. Defining your waist is the key to almost any shape. Skirts that are A-line will skim right over your hips, and wide-leg trousers just beneath or on your waist will help to make you look that bit more curvaceous. “Look for gorgeouswomen’s clothes for sale on adflyer.
