With the oldest boy job hunting while during his five month school break, and my husband trying to sell the items he dug out of the attic, we’re starting to think about free ads to help. Since I have a small business that I haven’t advertised and I like to write about insights on daily occurrences and share with my friends we need to research free ads for that. My little girl is also wanting to tell the world that she is getting married. We all agreed that we don’t want to pay for all these things so we started searching for free ads sites. While in our quest we found many saying free ads, but when we visited their site, they really just wanted you to click their ad. I don’t agree with this method of marketing since it is a waste of my time. Although I do understand the value of having high click through rates, I don’t enjoy finding a load of garbage information on the landing page just to scroll to the bottom and have the words. Forums are a great way for my son to get connected with other people and job leads. He got good information on what others had learned and it’s wonderful how people are willing to share their good and bad experiences. He of course put the resume on the free sites like Careerbuilder and Monster.com as well. I started a blog and I also started submitting articles that help me get free ads out there. It is something that is really successful for me. What I do is put articles about my business and line of work, relevant things, and then post them on Ezine, or WordPress. I can stick my website and blog site into the resource box and voila! I get my website out there to anyone wishing to visit to learn more about what my company offers. This is really great because anyone in the world can read these articles, so it should grow my customer base.
