Rib Stitch The rib stitch is another very common stitch that you will often see used on the edging of many garments. The size of the rib depends on the pattern but to create it you need to knit a number of stitches, then purl a number of stitches and repeat for the whole row. On the wrong side row you will reverse this and knit the purl stitches and purl the knit ones. The Raspberry Stitch If you are looking for something more decorative then this is a really good stitch to try out. You will need to have a multiple of 4stitches plus 2 extra. It can be done quite easily by following these steps. On the right side rows, work edge stitch then purl 3 together, knit, purl, knit all into the next stitch, repeat the last 2 until the end of the row. Purl the wrong side rows. Doing this will create small bumps that look like raspberries. Moss Stitch The moss stitch is done by casting on an even count of stitches plus one; this makes it easier to knit easily without keeping count of odd or even rows. On every row, a knitter has to knit one and purl the next stitch. Repeating this process all the way till the end of the rows gives the moss stitch. Double Moss Stitch Like moss stitch this is a variation on rib but this time on a 2×2 rib stitch. Basically you work the first 2 rows as you would in rib and then you reverse for the next two rows and repeat this throughout. The other name for this stitch is Box stitch as it will create a series of little bumps in your work that look like boxes.
