Golden Rosaries For Real Luxury

Saturday, December 10th, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Have you ever seen a golden rosary? They are not things you see every day, but they are very striking and they can be found if you look around. A rosary is a symbol of your faith, a method of doing atonement and even a way of remembering who gave you your faith.

Because of the symbolic character of a rosary, it does not matter at all what it is made from. However, if you like nice things, a golden rosary could be a luxury item for you, even though there is more risk of it being stolen.

You certainly would not want to have it stolen of course, but a valuable rosary is a nice object to have, like a golden business card case or an luxurious fountain pen. It is not so much that it demonstrates that you can afford one, it is more that it shows that it is an important item to you. Something of significance. If you like writing, you want a decent pen, if you want to give a good impression, you can have a good business card case and if you love God, you can have a lovely rosary.

However, you do not have to take it to church with you, if you are worried about being flash. You could only use it at home, if that made you feel easier. After all, you are not buying a golden rosary to show off to the world’s populace, just to illustrate your loyalty to yourself. The weight of a golden rosary seems to add solemnity to the proceedings, but that might be a personal thing.

However, you do not necessarily have to buy a gold rosary for yourself. You might buy one for a child or godchild in order to demonstrate how much you want that they will discover or uphold the faith.

You will have to go to a professional dealer who knows about gold rosaries. This is because if the beads are too heavy for the chain, the chain might not last long. The constant moving of the beads could either wear the gold chain thin too swiftly or just snap it.

That would be a crying shame, because you might lose one or more of your beads too and the beads on a gold rosary would necessarily be fairly expensive too. Replacing one or more beads might be tricky or even impossible years down the line.

A gold rosary would almost certainly become a family heirloom and be passed down for generations or even hundreds of years. It would be a great inducement for a young person to consider the important things in life.

Your church could give you pointers about where to purchase a gold rosary from someone that actually knows what the proportions of the beads to the chain should be. They will also offer you different purities of gold, usually 9, 14 or 18 carat gold and the beads could be anything from glass to pearls.

If you do go in for a gold rosary, get the retailer to attest to the materials used in its manufacture and the various weights so that if you have a problem, you have proof to show the insurance company.

About Gold Coins

Saturday, December 10th, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Gold coins are extremely beautiful items and collecting them goes back to when coins were first issued in pre-Roman Europe. However, it was only in the Middle Ages that the amassing of gold coins became a leisure pursuit amongst the aristocracy and merchants who could afford to save such valuable items for their beauty and historical importance alone.

Coin collecting in general is still a very popular hobby enjoyed by millions of people of all ages. School children all over the world have small collections of overseas coins. Later, that hobby might expand into collecting coins from one’s own country. For example, it is easier and less expensive to collect a cent or penny from every year in the 20th Century in your own country than a foreign country.

This higher level of collecting coins can later become an expensive hobby once one has started working and has more money to spend. One might choose to concentrate on collecting gold coins from a particular period or of a certain denomination. Dollar and sovereign coins are very popular in this regard.

In the USA, gold coins were in distribution from 1838 to 1933. The first pattern was the Liberty Head Bust but this was changed in 1907 to the Indian Head and Saint Gaudens motifs, which were in use until 1933. The problems posed by the Great Depression caused gold coins to be recalled to be melted down. This made them scarcer and therefore more valuable.

In the United Kingdom and other parts of Europe, gold was used for coins from before the birth of Christ and many exemplars of these Roman and Celtic gold coins still survive today. Gold is no longer used as currency in Europe either, although in the UK, a gold sovereign is still worth one pound. The motif on the reverse is George and the Dragon, while the reigning monarch’s head is on the obverse

South Africa issued its first gold coin called the Krugerrand in 1967. The Krugerrand has no legal value because it was not meant to be used as currency. It is made of one ounce of pure gold and is usually purchased solely for investment purposes. Since then other countries have also minted bullion or investment coins. For instance, Canada manufactured the Gold Maple Leaf in 1979 and Australia made the Nugget in 1981.

In the days of the Gold Standard, countries promised to match the value of their currency with the amount of gold they held in reserve. That meant that if a country printed paper money without buying more gold to support it, the value of the paper currency would fall in relation to foreign currencies.

Different countries came off the Gold Standard at slightly different time, but most of them dropped the standard in or around 1971.

Collecting gold coins is a fine pastime, but it should not really be seen as an investment, because old gold coins carry a premium to the value of gold inside them. This value is sentiment and that can change rapidly. If you want to collect gold coins all well and good, but if you want to buy gold for an investment, then buy bullion coins or bars.

Effective Beauty Advice for Any Person

Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

As the old saying goes, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. Beauty is what you make of it, and what you consider to be beautiful. That being said, this article will give you some beauty secrets and tips that you can start applying to your life immediately.

You can spend big bucks on special dandruff shampoos containing salicylic acid for your dandruff and/or flaky scalp. But did you know that salicylic acid is, in fact, aspirin? So you can skip the expensive shampoos. Just take a regular uncoated aspirin or two, crush it to a powder, and mix it with your shampoo. Let it sit on your scalp for a minute and you will find it has the same result as more expensive treatments.

Get fit. Whether you need to lose weight or not, starting a fitness routine will tone up your muscles and sculpt your body into an attractive sight. Someone who is in shape is generally regarded as more attractive than someone who is not. There are all kinds of fitness programs out there, so you should be able to find one you enjoy.

Take care not to over tweeze your eyebrows. Repeated over plucking can result in areas where hair refuses to grow back, resulting in bald spots. If you have already developed bare spots in your brows, fill in the areas with a brow pencil temporarily while applying a product to regrow the hair.

Wearing heavy foundation or powdery makeup is not a good look for faces over 40. It accentuates the drier character of the skin. If your face is 40 or older it’s better to use a lighter touch. If your skin is fairly even-colored you may be able to skip foundation entirely. Foundations should be very light in weight.

Put Vaseline on your eyebrows before you go to sleep. This will make your eyebrows look better and shiny. You don’t have to use that much Vaseline, just enough for a thin layer on your brows. Avoid getting Vaseline anywhere else on your face because it can cause unwanted acne breakouts.

There are two ways to disguise blemishes and flaws on your face. First, gently apply concealer to the problem areas with a small cosmetics brush. The second method of disguising imperfections is distraction. Try wearing a warm, pink lipstick. This will draw peoples’ eyes away from any flaws you wish to conceal.

In order to prevent freckles or to make existing ones lighter, be sure to use a facial moisturizer that has an SPF. The ingredients in this kind of moisturizer keeps the skin lighter, which also helps keep freckles lighter. Plus, it helps to protect your face if you are going to be exposed to sun.

See, beauty is more than precision-based. It really can be any kind of activity you want it to be. If it weren’t, then only professionals could buy and use the products. You should feel a bit better and ready to get started and practice so that you can use your new knowledge of the activity.

Your beauty is an outward reflection of your inner self. Use the information, tips and secrets that you read in this article to let your inner beauty shine on your outward person for the whole world to see. You will notice a confidence that you haven’t had before.

Tiger Face Painting

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Tigers are very well-liked animals because of their grace, agility and strength. Children may not see tigers in this light depending on their age and level of understanding of course. Young children see them on TV and they look like little more that big pussy cats and older children, particularly in the West, probably do not realize the terror that a stray tiger in the area can inspire.

Despite that more individuals like tigers than loathe them. This is one of the factors why the tiger face is very popular as a pattern for face painting for children’s dos. Face painting has been common with numerous cultures for thousands of years although most people would think that it is a contemporary phenomenon.

Think of ancient cultures like America’s Native Tribes and their war paint. The ancient Celts in northern Europe used woad as war paint and make-up. Aborigine Australians used face paint and so have Asians from India and Pakistan to China and Japan where the most famous wearers of face paint are the Geisha girls.

Tigers are in essence Asian animals, so it is no wonder that Asians have revered this colossal wild cat for thousands of years and started using it as a style in face painting.

If you want to try painting a tiger face onto your child’s face, make sure that the paints that you use are safe for purpose and definitely do not contain any lead. However, there are special face painting kits available that should all be trustworthy.

First of all, clean the face of any natural oil and perspiration and then dry it. If the child has long hair, tie it back until you are done. Some face paints are applied with a damp sponge, so we will go with that procedure for now. First apply a white foundation around the eyes and where a man’s beard would be.

Next put on yellow to the centre of the face including the nose but not the end of the nose. Paint an orange border around the edge of your creation to distinguish it from the hairline and clothes. Then comes black; applying it with a brush, paint on a few stripes, the whiskers and the tip of the nose. The last step, if desired, is to add a bit of golden glitter to better catch the light.

With a little practice, a tiger face can be applied almost as quickly as the paint dries and you could paint on a number of children at a time, applying say, the white, to as many children as it takes for the first one to dry.

As stated above, there are lots of face painting kits on the market. Look out for Crayola. They supply a cheap kit for about $12 and it comes with paints, brushes, sponges and directions. There are others too. You can remove the tiger face paint with ordinary baby lotion or baby oil on a wad of cotton wool.

I have described the fundamental ‘tiger face’, but there are plenty of varieties. look at the Disney cartoon tigers for inspiration or go to the zoo to see how truthful they were at Disney.

Caring For Your Fish Pond

Saturday, December 3rd, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Do you like the sound of running water? Do you find the sound relaxing? Well, you can easily produce the sound of moving water in your own garden. You can put in a fish pond or a water garden. So, if you think that your garden needs landscaping, it might be a good idea to think about a fish pond or water garden.

People think that a fish pond takes lot of looking after, but that is not inevitably true. The truth is that the bigger the fish pond, the less work you have to put into it. This is because a large pond can create its own ecosystem, whereas a small fish pond requires assistance.

The ways that you can help a small fish pond be a decent environment for your fish are as follows:

Pond Filters - use a pond filter with a good pump. Do not forget that you could get a solar powered pump. It will save on the environment and on your wallet. You should use a pond filter on a small pond, because the ecosystem cannot deal with all the plant waste of a small ornamental pond on its own. A pond pump will supply the filtration system and a waterfall or fountain if you wish.

Your pond filtration system should be left running twenty-four hours a day, but you can not just set it and forget it. Check that the pump is running daily and keep the filter as clean as needed for it to do its job. You may find that you have to clean it two or three times a week in the summer and autumn but only once a week in the winter and spring.

Leaf Netting: stop leaves from clogging up your pond in the autumn. The net should be poised a foot or so above the pond to prevent autumn leaves falling into the water and rotting.

Feeding: all fish should be given fish food, not bread or scraps. Some fish need specific fish food in order to maintain their colour. When you buy your fish, the salesperson should inform you what they eat. In general, the larger the pond the less hassle feeding becomes as they will eat natural food like insects, grubs, larvae and flies.

Fish need less food in the winter when they become semi-dormant and live off the fat stores that they built up in the warmer months, so give food often in the summer and autumn, but less often in the winter. You must check to see if surplus food is left floating on the surface.

Winter: make certain that there is a hole in the ice so that the water can take in oxygen and the fish can feed if they want to. You can buy a floating de-icer or some people float a round football in a hoola-hoop, which seems to do the trick unless the temperature gets very low.

In fact, the hoola-hoop is a good idea all year round really. If you put the food in the hoop, it remains in one place and you can see if you have given too much. It also makes a nice site to see all the fish feeding in a shoal.

Christmas Shopping Advice

Saturday, November 12th, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Christmas shopping can be seen as an absolute thrill or as a compulsory evil. It is a thrill to be out and about amid the sights and sounds of the season and the cheerful crowds. But for the same reasons, others fear shopping at Christmas time. These days, you do not need to leave your home much or at all to get your Christmas and holiday shopping completed. That is because the Internet puts shopping at your fingertips and rather than competing with traditional retail stores, the Internet has in fact expanded the ability of traditional stores to sell more products to a bigger number of people in a bigger number of places.

Both large and small retailers can be found at their dedicated Web sites on the Internet. Most will also offer items that can be found in the store. However, online retail sites will frequently have additional items available, or access to additional products, that are not yo be found in the store.

Another benefit of shopping on the Internet is that it offers admission to stores situated anywhere in the world. It has therefore become easier to order a unique present from a niche or specialty boutique store in places that you otherwise would not be able to reach. It is also easy to do comparison shopping using ’shop bots’ or simply by comparing prices yourself.

If Christmas shopping is done through the Internet, you have to pay careful heed to the order times and any cut-off dates to get an item delivered in time for Christmas. Based on likely volume, most sites will give a date or the number of hours within which orders have to be confirmed for assured delivery of the products before Christmas.

The mall is a popular place for conventional Christmas and holiday shopping. Precincts offer one-stop shopping and have a large assortment of merchandise, which can reduce the endless searching of dozens of stores for some special item. The stores will also be delightfully decorated for Christmas, have splendid displays and a Santa Claus to interact with children. These and other activities that are usually at the precinct during Christmas and the holidays also make them an interesting place to take children to enjoy some of the season’s delights.

To maximum benefit from shopping at the mall, you will need to know the differences between the mall department stores. You will need to find out which stores have exclusive brands, which stores are moderately priced and which are more upscale.

There are also the specialty stand-alone stores and spinoff store branches for kids and teenagers that try to fill a particular niche. As an example, stores have emerged that carry only styles related to hip-hop culture or styles that have an ‘urban’ look. So it may be worthwhile beginning your shopping at a specialty store, because they are more focused, and then continue onto a department store that has a broader assortment.

Another interesting place to shop in malls are the stand-alone kiosks that are frequently located at intervals in the open areas of a mall where there is a lot of foot traffic. These kiosks are more likely to carry one-of-a kind items, which can provide ideas for Christmas presents.

Also at malls will be specialized shops that offer home/household products, books, music and movies, electronics, sports gear and shoes.

All of the types of precinct stores previously mentioned can also be found at Outlet or Factory Precincts or Warehouses, which offer lower prices. These stores frequently carry clearance products from their associated precinct store, merchandise with minor flaws and merchandise that is made for the outlet. Those items of merchandise frequently have minor style variations from what is found in precinct stores and may also be made from different materials.

A final place to mull over for Christmas shopping is downtown businesses. They are usually small and personal, have unique offerings and offer more personalized support. Although downtown businesses are also likely to be crowded at Christmas time, there is likely to be less of a crush of people than that found at the malls.

Dressing Up And Putting On Hair Decoration - A Habit Enjoyed By Some Girls

Friday, November 11th, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Since the beginning of time, wearing of clothes has been part of human life as a protection from wind and sun, as insulation from the cold, for ornamentation, for cultural identity, and for identification of social position. Since then, until today, kids and adults alike take time, effort, and money in choosing what kinds of clothes to wear-from hair decoration to footwear-in a given time and occasion.

Anthropologists have recorded that since the earlier times, dating back up to 500,000 years ago, clothes have existed and used by men. Different natural materials in the environment such as animal skin, furs, grasses, leaves, bones, and shells were used to make clothes. Through the years, as men learned the different things about the environment, they also discovered the advantages of woven fibers over animal hides, hence the creation of clothes. Learning how to make clothes widened the range of its purpose from being used as protection to being a tool to beautify one’s appearance.

Dressing up is a practice enjoyed by everyone. As was said, wearing of clothes-from head decoration to footwear-is no longer exclusively done for purposes of protection; rather, it is practice for a number of reasons. An online survey listed a number of good reasons why people dress up. Among these reasons are because life’s too short to blend in, because fashion is a method of self expression, and because everyone deserves to look best at all times. Others on the other hand, reasoned that they dress up because they believe that glamour is not only reserve for the rich and famous but for everyone.

Aside from these personal reasons, professionals have also cited a number of reasons why man loves to dress up. Included among these reasons are for cover, protection, as items of ornamentation, and for identification. Today’s society dictates that various parts of the body should not be displayed in public. This law, which was established sometime in past, made clothes a necessity. Protection is also another reason why people wear clothes. This reason is also among the primary reasons which led to the invention of clothing-man’s need for protection against harsh weather conditions, against their fellow men, and against bodily harm.

Scientists and archaeologists also found out that people wear clothes as items for ornamentation since the ancient times. This is exemplified by the number of balls and parties held by the royals to flaunt their new dresses, costumes, hair decorations, and footwear. Professionals have also discovered that clothes have been worn by people to identify themselves since the establishment of social statuses in the society. Individuals belonging in the upper class were identified against those in the lower class through clothes.

Dressing up is a practice that has indeed been ingrained in our culture. From hair decorations, to body covering and footwear, we all carefully consider which one to don in a given time and occasion. This is a practice that will definitely go on in the future.

To Succeed in Business You Must Take Cues from Nature

Here in Utah the season is changing. It’s becoming cold. The leaves are transforming into beautiful auburn reds, brilliant oranges, and yellows. The leaves then drift from the trees to the ground. Nature is preparing for winter to come. Often time we can take cues from nature on how to grow successful businesses. What can we learn from preparing for winter and its bitter chill cold for our business? One thing is to slow down and prepare to go deep about what we want to do and accomplish in our business instead of being on the fast track of the rat race going from one thing to another without really analyzing the actions steps we are taking.

When the dust settles and we explore the brilliance and opportunities that are around us changes take place. It’s is critical to periodically take really deep looks at our business:

*Why am I in business? *Where do I want to go in our business? *Who are my niche? *Who do I want to work with? *What is my perfect work life balance? *What are the opportunities I want to capture? *What is the legacy that I want to leave in business?

If we focus on these kinds of questions, and come up with the answer from our core, we learn who we want to be and where we want to grow our business. Then we can look then at our busy “to do” list and decide if what we are doing is supporting are overarching goals. Is what we are doing going to be important a week from now? A month? Or even a year? Or is it busy work that we feel we have to do out of obligation because other people are telling us we should do. Maybe we doing it because it seems like it should be done. When we brutally refine what needs to be done to get to the next level amazing clarity comes. After that, it is necessary to take action steps that are critical to bringing in revenue and building relationship. If we do revenue producing activities first and only second do all the other stuff then our businesses will transform into greater health. This laser-like focus gives us the energy we need to weather any storm.

As you look at your business, are you about to go into winter? Do you want to encourage the rebirth in your business? Or maybe your business is going into spring and preparing for more growth? No matter the stage your business is in take cues from nature go deep.

How To Review Computer And Video Games

Thursday, October 27th, 2011
Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles

Playing video games, or gaming, is probably the most preferred pastime in the world. Children do not play football in the street t as often as they used to, they sit in their bedrooms or in computer cafes playing video games. This means that there are always millions of kids playing computer games, discussing video games or reading about them.

Reviews of computer games are everywhere, but still there is a huge requirement for more. If you would like to write reviews on video games, you will find eager publishers on Web gaming sites and if the reviews are good, you might kave them published in gaming magazines too. So how do you go about writing a review of a computer game?

The first thing to do is establish your target audience. Gamers are on all kinds of levels, but in essence you can say that there are beginners, hobbyists and experts. So who are you capable of reviewing for. Naturally, an expert will be searching for a more detailed review than a beginner.

What is your own level of expertise? You will find it almost impossible to write on a level much higher than that and still be credible. If you attempt to fudge it, people will see through it and know that you do not really understand what you are writing about, so write to your ability / knowledge of the game and try to increase your ability / knowledge.

Every game strives to be different, but they share a commonality nevertheless. So, there is a basic set of questions that can be addressed no matter which game you are reviewing.

The questions include: does it load quickly? Is there a selection of characters? What are their abilities? Is the action smooth and fluid? Are the colours true? Is the action fast? Does the game crash? Can it be played by more than one player at a time? Can you play it on the Internet?

Players on every level would like to know the answers to questions like those. Other vital information is: which machines can it be played on? What specifications does that machine or PC require to run the game at top speed - CPU speed, RAM, HD free space and screen resolution.

More advanced players will want to know about specific locations or characters in the game. They might also be searching for a means to get out of a situation that they find impossible to work out. They will want to know how to earn ‘trophies’ and what these trophies confer upon the owner.

Experts and hobbyists might be searching for so-called ‘cheats’. Cheats are special, undocumented commands that permit someone ‘in the know’ to do something special. They might bestow unlimited lives or super powers or permit you to jump to any level in the game.

Experts may also be interested in the heritage of the game: who wrote it, who programmed it, who did the graphics, whether it is based on another game and other technical details.

So, you need to gain a thorough understanding of the game by having played it really often and to a high level if not the highest level and you have to be honest with what you find and present your findings in an impartial fashion.
