The Sure Way to Retirement vs. The Work From Home Alternative The inter-activity with co-workers where you can share ideas, cooperate on various projects and co-mingle after hours trumps working alone at home for most working Americans. Other convincing reasons are access to modern equipment and benefits like paid-for continued education, health benefits and a retirement plan. Statistically, the vast majority of working folks gravitate to the type of work environment that Ive just laid out. They are perfectly happy to drive or take public transportation to their workplace and put in the time and necessary effort to earn their paycheck and eventual retirement benefits. Workers across America who have diligently applied their skills in these businesses have made our country the success is has been. It’s not the fault of the American worker that we find ourselves in our present recession. They can’t be blamed for the destruction of our economy. They just have to live through it. OK, so what reason would someone choose to work from home? Well, if we’re talking about work-at-home-moms (WAHMs) it’s because they want to spend time raising them and not handing them over to a day-care center. Many also have that entrepreneurial drive that can only be satisfied by doing their own thing in their unique home-based businesses. Corporate security doesn’t appeal to all men. Many are driven to succeed in their unique home-based businesses. Those who choose to start their business day by working in their pajamas have a lot in common. They spend their hours or days before a computer networking, writing copy, emailing and promoting themselves and their blogs and websites to the world. They believe that they can succeed and accomplish more financially at home than by working at a conventional job. Many such people earn ten thousand dollars a month; incomes that rival those of corporate executives and can easily fund their own health insurance and retirement plans. Certainly not all of them make that kind of income. Most earn considerably less but they all know that it’s possible to do well. What one does and how it’s promoted is the key and each person holds fast to the dream of success. Succeeding in home-based online business is only accomplished by learning what to do and what not to do as can attested to by those who have failed. Internet businesses are just like any other business in that there are right and wrong ways to go about growing them and capturing market share. Work-from-home entrepreneurs are not exempt from learning how to do it right because they can fail just as easily as uninformed brick and mortar business owners. Becoming successful at your Internet business requires you to do some important but basic things. First, find some people who are successful at their online businesses. They’re not difficult to find. Learn from them so you don’t have to blunder along and fail at yours. Going it alone is tough enough without someone to emulate. Believe me, I know! I learned through too much time and money spent. Next, polish your writing skills or take some lessons on how to write effectively. Article writing and publishing can be one of the most effective methods of driving visitors to your blog or website. In my case article submission results have made my online businesses extremely successful. Now you can decide for yourself if continuing to work at your conventional job or venturing into uncharted waters as an Internet entrepreneur will suit you and meet the needs of your future. You won’t find commercial fishermen catching fish if they have holes in their nets. If your basic networking model is filled with holes you won’t gather up many new people for your down line either. Of course I’m referring to how the Internet can be used with your company’s business model and grow your business. The majority of network marketing companies or businesses that utilize duplication in their payout plans are ill prepared to help their members cope with the ever-changing intricacies of the Internet. That is why over 95% of online entrepreneurs fail. They sign up with these companies after hearing their pie-in-the-sky, get-rich-quick pitches only to find that after spending way too much money and time promoting their businesses that they were already doomed from the start. So, why can’t these companies help their members succeed in their businesses? It becomes apparent that these parent companies don’t possess the needed level of expertise to teach them. It can be compared to the differences between a manufacturer and its sales reps. Manufacturing companies excel at planning and producing products and all the various steps that come before and after that process. But they hire sales reps to find leads, develop relationships and make the sales. That’s because sales people possess a certain talent for that sort of thing. They have a different kind of expertise that has served both them and the companies they represent well for untold generations in the brick and mortar world. But most of THEM can’t make the internet work for them. Again, expertise! You may be pretty good at operating your computer and may even have built yourself a website. But that kind of technical expertise won’t help your business grow if you don’t know what to do. As far as the Internet is concerned, it doesn’t know your website exists. The correct way of promoting your online presence just hasn’t been explained to you. Even if you bought a selection of AdWords, if they were the wrong ones or you paid too much for them it would be a waste of your money. Leads from your parent organization or a lead source don’t always supply the freshest of leads either, which can mean the leads are already out of the market or been pestered until they’re blue in the face. That too, can cost you time and money. So, it comes down to expertise again. You need to learn more. You need to work smarter than even your up-line does. If you are willing to educate yourself and do something other than what hasn’t worked up to this point you can succeed. I am personally involved in online businesses where building down lines and selling services pays me very well. They are all online and I had to find out the hard way the information I am sharing with you now. Think of me as the guy who tried, failed and finally got it together. Now, I am a leader because I have trained myself to be one. My business continues to grow and people seek me out to work with me. Aren’t you hoping for that, too? Sure! OK, for starters nobody cares about the two, three or four-foot rule when you’re working on the internet. The debt status of your parent company is of no interest or its products or anything else. And believe it or not, the compensation plan means nothing either at this time. You are the one thing or person who matters, here. Your great website with all the bells and whistles is of no importance. The only issue important to your website visitor is your credibility. Good written content stated in a friendly way reflecting your expertise is what visitors are searching for. In this way you can develop a rapport with them. They absolutely will NOT buy anything from you or sign up under you as your down line unless they first trust you. This happens slowly when they begin to see you as a leader who can help them and truthfully answer their questions. Buying online requires people to be careful. They don’t want to be scammed by those they hear about on the news. You need to be cognizant of people’s fears and treat them with kid gloves. They will generally do business with you once they trust and respect you and the value of your product or service. That, my friend is basically how it works. That’s it in simple terms. The ball is in your court, now. About the Author:
