Cyber-citizens who are just getting started in social media might be wondering where to begin. How do I get Twitter followers anyway? First of all, complete your online profile. Those who come across your page will want to know something about you. The information will also show up in various spots around the web site, and a well written profile can have an influence on someone who is adding people to their following list. Put your link out where people can see it. List it in other social media profiles you might have. Facebook, LinkedIn and assorted other media sites all include places where you can put this information. Include it in your email signature as well. Find other people to follow. The more folks you follow, the more groupies you can get in kind. Even if just one out of every ten people follows you back, and you find 1,000 people to add, you will get 100 instant buddies. Adding 10,000 can get you 1,000 or more. You could also resort to bribery. Offering a gift card bounty to a new addition at random over the following week or so can net you a bunch of new friends. You’ll need to give them the gift card, naturally, but this is worth it if you get enough new associates. If nothing else works, don’t worry. You can always buy popularity. Some marketing sites will sell you friends in batches of 1,000 to 10,000 and up. Some folks have been known to auction off their accounts after getting a high number and have seen a profit. Social media is one great way of getting a message out, but you will need a lot of people in your corner to get any sort of results. How do I get Twitter followers? Pay attention to the information in this guide and your new friends will beat a path to your cyber-door. Do you find yourself wondering, “How can I get the most Twitter followers“? Twitter is a highly popular application in social media available today. It can be an invaluable tool for generating web traffic to your business or personal website. So if you are looking to increase the following on your Twitter account you need to visit HowToGetFollowed.com, the authoritative guide to increasing subscribers to your Twitter profile. |

Google Adwords And Why It Helps
Friday, February 19th, 2010| Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles |
Improve your marketing with Google Adwords. Google set up Adwords so that any business or web site that required advertising could receive the visitors they need. It works with Adsense to provide you with people who actually are interested in what you have to offer. No spamming is done, nor bulk E-mails. The default way to pay in Google Adwords is for impressions. You pay from 25 cents for 1000 impressions. You can choose to pay all in advance to avoid excess advertising, or ongoing. Google accepts both. Google Adwords Has a special feature. Instead of paying per impression, the advertising cost may be pay per click. You only have to pay for when an ad is clicked. This is great if you are not sure if people will look at your ad or click on it. The cost per click is from one cent. Impressions are the riskier choice, but if you can create a good ad, you could have up to one thousand viewers for as little as a quarter. You need to make an ad that can stand out so people do not skip over it, or you may just lose out. You will need to do some actual work creating an ad that people like, but you didn’t really think a business did not involve being busy, did you? On the other hand, Pay per click guarantees visitors. If somebody clicks, you pay. If not, you do not pay. This is the right choice if you are looking for visitors but do not want luck to be a factor in your advertising. When you begin advertising, you will pay an activation fee of only five dollars. If you choose the prepay option, your total payment for advertising must be at least ten dollars. Credit cards are accepted for both prepay and postpay. Bank accounts are accepted for postpay and debit cards are accepted for prepay. Once your payment has been sent, you are ready to advertise. Adwords reaches people who use Google as well as any site that uses Adsense, so your ad will literally be on hundreds if not thousands of sites, one of which has thousands if not millions of hits a day (Google). People will know about your site. As long as you do not make it sound like some get rich quick scheme, you will get visitors. Google Adwords allows any business to advertise to a broad audience. Using Pay Per Click Internet Marketing - Avoid Costly Mistakes
Sunday, November 22nd, 2009| Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles |
When starting a network marketing or small business using internet marketing, many people have limited experience or knowledge in the industry. This can lead to a few mistakes when applying the first internet marketing strategies. Those mistakes can not only cost money, but can also affect one’s confidence and motivation. One common mistake is using pay per click marketing without adequate knowledge. You are likely to use pay per click marketing when you start marketing your business online, because it is a very efficient medium to get traffic to your website immediately. The drawback in using pay per click marketing early on is that the less you know and apply the right tactics, the more you will have to pay! I am not saying here that you should become a theoretical expert before you start marketing your business using pay per click, but you must learn as much as you can as early as you can. Being an amateur at pay per click can be very damaging to your finances in 3 ways: 1. It will cost you more to be placed in a good position on the search engines I was really pleased when at first I saw how many people were driven to my ads and my website: I was getting great click through rates, my ads were performing well, and many people were even taking the next step on my website and entering their details. BUT, I realised after an expensive month generating more than 1000 clicks and more than 100 leads that I was speaking to the wrong people. Sure, people were interested in learning more about my business, products and opportunity, but where were all the seriously determined entrepreneur-minded people I was truly looking for? I did get a few great leads out of these numbers, but the truth is, it cost me a lot more time, money and energy than it should have, and in the process the people I was really looking for probably didn’t even see my ads. Many resources are available to help you learn how to use pay per click effectively, how to secure your website rankings and how to generate quality leads by reaching the right market. The bottom line is, the less you learn about those principles and techniques, the more it will cost you and the less it will pay off. Here are my recommendations for tackling pay per click marketing when you are starting out in internet or network marketing: 1. This is a must: Learn the basics on pay per click marketing. The ‘Definitive Guide to Google Adwords’ by Perry Marshall is a great tool, straight-forward yet comprehensive, and will help you create your campaigns and assess your results. 2. Learn the basics on how websites are picked up and ranked by search engines, so that you understand how to create an effective title, description, keywords, content and links for your own website. 3. Continue to broaden your knowledge and apply new strategies step by step. Do make sure you know the basics before you start spending your entire marketing budget (it may be worth waiting another 1-2 weeks to learn more before marketing your business), and then get into the more advanced stuff. Continually analyse your results and refine your marketing campaigns. Remember that the internet is always changing and what works today may not work forever. 4. Define your target audience. Design your ads to talk to them. Ask yourself if your ads could be misinterpreted, unclear or misleading - this is how you get the wrong people to click on your ads (and pay for it). Also make sure that the content on your website targets the right people; even though you have already paid for a click, you still don’t want to waste your time calling the wrong prospects. Basically, use the content on your website to help people pre-qualify themselves before signing up. 5. Record and analyse statistics on your leads. How many were not actually looking for your type of product or business? How many were not serious candidates? How many quality leads resulted from your efforts and investment? How much did each lead cost you? Find out what works and what doesn’t work and change your marketing strategies accordingly. 6. Accept that less traffic (especially the paid one) can be a good thing. You don’t want to spend money on bad leads. Quality brings better results and is more cost-effective than quantity. Hit and miss can be an expensive approach. 7. Until you have sufficient knowledge to create campaigns that generate quality leads for yourself, consider using the services of an expert marketer. For example, you may be able to join a marketing cooperative within your company. However, be cautious about purchasing leads from a third party, as you may not know the origin, nature or quality of those leads. Pay per Click and Cash Afilliate Programs

Millions are paying to get a ride on the Information Super Highway everyday. It is widely known that the Internet is an accessible resource of many income-generating activities. Whether you belong to a private sales company or you are just interested in internet marketing, PPC affiliate programs can be a powerful venue to make money from the Internet. A partnership with an affiliate merchant is a win-win situation for the merchant and the affiliate. Because of exposure and traffic, sales are soaring while the affiliate is earning good cash. To make things easier, the affiliate merchant provides a strip of advertisement and pays you when someone clicks on the ad’s link. You can get a commission of $0.10 to $0.30 for every click, but it sometimes it can go higher depending on your merchant affiliate. Sometimes, merchants require a quota like $1.4 for every 1000 clicks. Plus, you can get discounts from your merchant affiliates if you happen to like their products too. You can just kick back and relax while your website is generating cash. Sounds easy, doesn’t it? What is PCC Affiliate Program? PPC means pay-per-click, wherein you get in partnership with an affiliate company that literally pays you for every click. There are actually two types of PCC affiliate programs, those who pay a commission based on the number of clicks and the other based on the sales. The pay-per-click scheme is much more popular than pay-per-lead because the affiliate gets paid by just clicking the ad regardless of whether the visitor buys from the affiliate merchant or not. The chances of a visitor purchasing something from the affiliate merchant are not really that high. In choosing an affiliate program, read the fine print carefully because some pay-per-click programs get the ratio of the number of people who went to your site and the actual people who clicked on the ad. If you have a heavily targeted website, this can hurt your earnings. How do I start? Of course, you need to have a website. Choose the best affiliate merchant that is most related to your topic. For example, your website is about Carpentry then you can search for affiliate programs that sell tools used in carpentry. If you don’t have a website, that’s not a problem. You can put up a content site about absolutely anything under the sun like Taking Care of Dogs or Decorating your own Home. But wait, its not over yet. We are faced by a dilemma on how to increase traffic! You first need to get internet surfers to see your website, then the ad. How do I increase my traffic? First, design your website in such a way that it will attract internet users. A user-friendly site is always recommended so that the customers will know which one to click. Take into consideration the look and feel of the advertisement. If it your website doesn’t look professional, most likely, users will just ignore it. Place the ad on a strategic location. One where users can see it clearly. Visibility of the ad is very important. Another way is to post a link to your website in forums, web communities, ezine articles or bulletin boards. However, this method requires a lot of effort. That defeats your purpose of getting easy money in the first place! The key is to do something once and forget about it. It is like putting your business on autopilot. To maintain your pay-per-click business, be sure to track down site activity, so you are updated on how much money you are making. Can I make more money? If you think you can go to the next level, you can try a two-tier affiliate program. This gives you the power to recruit affiliates. Other than the money you get from your website’s clicks, you will also get a percentage of what your affiliate generates. Some companies give 30% to a soaring 50% commission on all referral sales. You should be able to manage and monitor your affiliate program. If you can recruit more affiliates, then you can get paid more without even moving a finger! Choose affiliates that can most likely attract more internet users and bring more traffic. You just have to know the right people. About the Author:

Knowing How To Get The Most Out Of Your Web Sites Advertising

There is no denying how important the internet has become in the business world. Anybody who runs a website knows that there is a lot that goes into the creation and maintenance of it. There is no silver bullet answer to how to make a great site on the internet, but there are a number of common factors that are present in successful sites and are lacking in those that fail. The first thing one must consider when creating a website is the overall design of it. What colors and templates look best? What type of content do you want embedded and placed around the different parts of the page? What is the general theme you are looking to get across to new visitors? These questions may seem like unimportant ones to answer, but the reality is that the general appearance of your website can have a huge hand in determining the overall longevity and success of it. After dealing with the aesthetics of the site, you must decide how your web page is going to turn a profit and be a successful, moneymaking venture. There are two major types of web sites currently spread across the internet. The first group is those based around selling a product to a consumer - with products ranging from socks, to shoes, to ski boots, to jet skis. The second, however, is based around offering users a service rather than a product. While online retailers turn a profit through the items they sell, member of this second group are forced to make money a different way, usually through advertising. Advertisers are all over the internet these days, as they can effectively reach a target audience on a content-specific site, just as they can reach a target audience through a content-specific magazine. With such a direct means of reaching these hard to find people, advertising companies are on nearly every site on the web in one fashion or another. That being said, there are a number of ways that advertisers go about working with websites. The most common and most sensible method, however, is pay per click advertising, as it allows advertisers to pay only as much as their ads are effective. Pay per click is a system that binds an advertiser to pay its host site every time their ad is clicked on. This works out to the benefit of parties, as neither is forced into a long-term contract that could end up going sour. For the advertiser, pay per click advertising makes sense because they only have to pay if their advertisements are successful. If they position themselves on a website that ends up being a bust, an advertiser will not be forced to pay very much money, as their ads will most likely not be clicked on all too often. Therefore, their overall losses will remain low. For the host site, pay per click advertising makes sense as it allows the owner to constantly review what ads are working and which ads are not. If you own and operate a web site, you want people to click on the banner ads that you have online, as you will see more money. Therefore, if an ad is unpopular - for whatever reason - you will be able to remove it in favor of another ad that might have more success based on clicks. Just as was the case with the advertiser, hosts are not tied into deals that can turn out to be bad and costly over an extended period of time. In the end, there are a number of ways to make your website a successful one. As most peoples’ goal is to make money and turn some sort of a profit, be sure that you collect a fair amount from the advertisers you are in business with. About the Author:

Anyone doing business or thinking about launching an internet website to make money or draw traffic online has heard of keywords. Using a search-based keyword research tool correctly can boost your traffic when used right. The concept is easy for most to understand, but without thorough knowledge of how it works and utilizing all of the resources that go along with it, you could be spinning your wheels. Here are tips on how keyword tools are highly beneficial. The luxury of a search-based keyword tool is it is designed to give you a higher search engine ranking on the top sites by providing you with relative keywords for your website. It takes the time consuming task and guessing away, putting the information at your fingertips instantly. The advantages it offers you in generating higher volumes of traffic. There are several keyword research tools. When you search online you will see free tools, and some sites have a free tool with other paid services. There is also software to help you manage your keywords and keyword phrases that will make it easier for you once you get started. When shopping through the resources, get familiar with tools that offer a variety of services other rather than just helping you pick relevant keywords. Most of the keyword tools also provide other pertinent suggestions. This includes how many times the keyword is being used by your competition. Keyword tools will also let you know how many times in a particular timeframe the keyword was searched by shoppers. This gives you an idea on how popular the keyword is. If the competitive usage is high, you can look for similar, popular keywords that not very many businesses are using so you won’t get lost in the crowd. It doesn’t matter what type of internet marketing you are planning on using. A search-based keyword research tool can provide keyword phrases for sales page titles, landing pages, email campaign content, web page content, and blogs. If you are writing press releases or distributing articles, a keyword tool can help you identify relative keywords tailored to you story or industry that will list you higher on the search engine rankings and boost traffic. This in itself is a excellent tool for gaining new customers. PPC Software - The 7 Must - Haves
Monday, July 20th, 2009| Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles |

When you use pay per click advertising, do you generate profits for yourself, or do you just add to Google’s ever increasing bottom line ? At dawn (sometimes before), across the world many thousands leave their beds, do they dress first, perhaps visit the bathroom, no they head for their PC’s. First the Google home page, then ‘advertising programs’, followed by ‘Google Adwords’, followed by a groan as once again the sales column is empty and the ‘cost’ one full ! In truth they have turned their Adwords account into the Las Vegas of the internet, lots of money in, very little out. In the PPC ocean only the professionals have a chance of avoiding the sharks and getting to the island of profit. Considering the fact that around 90% of online businesses don’t make it past the first 3 months I can’t imagine that, for most, PPC advertising is any more successful. You will find, on my website and across the web, articles where I have gone into, in detail, keyword list creation and how to compose the ads themselves, but no room for that here. All I will refer back to is my belief in starting with large numbers of keywords and ads but remember, don’t even think about bidding on them all ! The best way, I have discovered, is to have a very large campaign loaded into Google Adwords but only have a fairly small (perhaps a couple of hundred) ‘live’ at any one time, cutting out the unsuccessful and replacing them with more from your ‘paused’ list. To give a real life example, I recently put up a campaign consisting of more than 4,000 ad groups, with only 200 of them appearing on the web, as keywords failed to perform they were deleted and another from the main list taking their place. Having it all up in one go makes managing the whole thing easier but this approach has one very obvious, very large, problem, how is it possible for anyone to create a campaign of this size manually ? It can’t be done manually, if you want to hold onto your sanity, the only answer is PPC software that can cope with the whole operation. Problem number 2 is, which software to use and what, exactly, does that software need to be capable of doing ? After a lot of research it came down to two outstanding examples of PPC software, both of which ticked all the boxes. 1. Handle keyword lists of any size. 2. Give every single keyword some sort of tracking code so I could figure out which produced sales and which should be ditched. 3. Could place two versions of an ad within every ad group so that I could see which performed best. 4. Make the keyword, where possible, the headline of the ad. 5. Where the keyword was longer than Google’s maximum of 25 characters, substitute a default headline, automatically, that had been prepared in advance. 6. ‘Explode’ the whole campaign so that it could be loaded directly into Google’s Adwords Editor in minutes without any fuss. 7. Very clear tutorials and an excellent help desk The first product I looked at was $399 and the second $147 and while I never like to pay more than I have to that big price gap might, I felt, mean a big quality gap. With credit card trembling I bought the $147 product, after all it did have a rock solid money back guarantee. I used Ad Grenade once and was hooked, it worked beautifully and for someone as technically challenged as me that’s saying something. It is simply impossible to become a serious player in the often very competitive world of pay per click advertising without using and controlling medium and large scale campaigns and that’s impossible without top notch PPC software. As someone who uses Ad Grenade for all my campaigns and can’t imagine how I could manage without it, I urge you to, at the very least, watch the video of it in action. About the Author:

Make Money Online Through Freelance Data Entry Positions

The increase in data entry positions online has increased dramatically. Data Entry positions have always been popular, but the emergence of the internet has created an increase in jobs available. Data entry positions used to be associated with jobs such as medical billing professionals, and legal secretaries. This is no longer the case. The demand of the internet has altered the look of data entry professionals totally. The new data entry professionals do not have to be tied to an office. Many people doing data entry are currently working from home. This change has made it easier for companies to outsource some to their work and save on office expenses. There are several websites online where you can go to and post freelance jobs or bid on jobs that companies or entrepreneurs offer on a daily basis. Companies like Elance or Rent A Coder head the list for jobs for writers and data entry personnel, but there are several more business opportunities available. Taking surveys online is another way to make an income from home. These survey companies do most of their correspondence by email. You have the option to accept or reject any survey opportunity. There is never a shortage for surveys that you can take. Many companies online that offer survey opportunities charge a fee, but the major companies like Inbox Dollars and Cash Crate are absolutely free to join. The more time you spend giving your opinion on different products the larger the paycheck you will receive. Making money online however is not limited to data entry professional only. Anyone can make money with other opportunities like affiliate marketing. Marketing other people products online is actually way more lucrative and can be achieved by simply working a couple of hours a day. The only catch to making a lot of money with affiliate marketing is that you are going to need the proper training. Making extra money online an easily be achieve by taking on freelancing jobs and surveys. If your are not a data entry person or you would like to increase your income potential, the proper affiliate marketing training course can help you to achieve your goals. About the Author:

Pay Per Click Advertising - How The Pros Do It
Wednesday, July 1st, 2009| Scentsy | Flameless Candles | Wickless Candles |

Organising keywords, as far as PPC (pay per click advertising) is concerned, can be broken down into three parts. 1. Compile a list of relevant keywords 2. Use them correctly in your Google ads 3. Manage your campaign with the right adwords software By the time we get to part three we will need software to manage our PPC campaign and there is nothing finer than the wonderful Ad Grenade. So, stage one, let’s get together a list of relevant keywords without spending a dime ! There are some first class keyword research tools out there and the good news is that two of the best are free, namely Traffic Travis and Google’s own, excellent, ‘Keyword Tool External’. If you are not very experienced in internet marketing and/or money is tight, I would recommend sticking with the free tools to begin with. How To Compile A Large list Of Relevant Keywords - FREE To begin with, compile a list of obvious phrases from your niche, for example ‘grow roses’, ‘how to grow roses’, ‘how to grow climbing roses’, ‘how to grow hardy roses’ etc. Another free tip, enter your phrases into the Google search box and see if the dropdown menu comes up with more gems. Run all of these, one by one, through Traffic Travis, when you get to the ’send to sorter’ stage, eliminate any phrases of less than 2 words or greater than 10 as well as any references to ‘free’ or ‘freeware’. You are looking for buyers not those just after freebies. Download your this list to your Notepad or some other kind of *.txt file where you will eliminate all inappropriate phrases. At this point we load the entire list into Google’s ‘Keyword Tool External’ and click the ‘Get Keyword Ideas button, then add any extra keywords, that Google has suggested, to the list. When you download your list to a text file you will discover that it is arranged alphabetically. Your final task is to re-arrange your list into very targeted groups of keywords, that is phrases that are very tightly related. I cannot over emphasize how important this is, your pay per click ads must take your customers to pages that not only use the keywords in those ad groups but must focus completely on the subject they suggest. There isn’t space here to go into a lot of detail on how to use the two tools I have mentioned, however, I think the Google tool is almost self explanatory and Traffic Travis has some very good tutorials. In other articles I will explain how I use keywords within a campaign and how to manage the campaign itself. When you get to stage three it will become all too clear why, without some kind of adwords software, this whole system would be impossible to manage. John Rivers About the Author:
