All kids seem to go through a dinosaurs phase at some point in their childhood. I’m not sure what the exact fascination is but I can guess that these weird looking creatures just get into their imagination and they want to learn everything they can about them. For kids that want a bit more of an interactive experience, then the latest thing is interactive dinosaur toys. He can learn from his experiences and will grow (personality wise that is - not size wise - this is described as artificial intelligence ) based on how you treat and bring him up. He can also be happy, moody and a range of other affectations based on how you treat him. He has more parts than the others plus more sensors and complex software for his ‘brain’. This can be updated to give the little fellow more abilities, functionality and appear more intelligent. Kota is the last dinosaur featured and he is also a baby. He is a baby triceratops. In my experience, children are fond of about three main dinosaurs, triceratops always seems to make the cut so to speak. This is probably because he is the most distinctive dinosaur along with the Stegosaurus. Kota is created for young children and toddlers (with supervision). He is best summed up as an interactive dinosaur rocking horse. He is large and younger children can ride on him. He will rock up and down and make dinosaur noises. He will react to this by pretending to eat the leaves, moving his head up and down and wiggling other parts of his body, including the cute little tail. The Wild Planet Hyper Dash game is a great combination of both an activity game and an educational game. Most people have heard about Star Wars in some way. It’s been going since George Lucas put out the first (err…fourth chronologically speaking) movie in’77. That’s 32 years ago ! And the stories seem to be getting more and more embellished as new movies, TV series, games and books get released each year. I wonder who makes up all these stories and whether they have to be sanctioned by Lucas before hand. All that can be said is that the creators of Star Wars have done pretty well for themselves. There are also many standard phrases in authentic clone voices that can be emitted from the helmet by pushing a few buttons. It’s an innovation on previous guns because it has a rapid fire option that does not require batteries to work. It’s a bit like a semi-automatic or pump action dart gun. This is sure to give you the edge when it comes to any nerf wars you have lined up this year or the next. Here is a short outline of what you can expect of your Raider CS35 gun. The common drawback with a full on nerf war was a limited firepower. Sure, you could carry a few darts with you and reload but there was nothing akin to automatic fire. This has changed with the CS-35. It belongs to the N-Strike line of guns, meaning it is not a velcro tipped dart. It can be easily adjusted in the stock so that anyone can fire it comfortably. It looks like your classic Nerf blaster but it has a drum magazine attached. The magazine will take up to 35 darts. The gun can be fired in single shot mode or rapid fire. You know all about single shot so I will go on to the rapid fire mode. The rapid fire mode uses a pump action to generate air pressure that will propel the dart (you can get a fair distance with a dart, across a medium sized back garden). By keping the finger depressed on the trigger, you can effect an automatic (or semi automatic) fire rate each time you pump the stock. Therefore firing can be done as rapidily as you work the pump action. The drum magazine is transparent so you get a clear view of the number of darts left. Reloading the magazine will take a bit of experience and time but the more you do it the easier it will become. If you are involved in a full on nerf war, then make sure you have a nice hideaway where you can go to reload. You can buy the Raider CS 35 separately or as part of a starter kit that comes with an extra 65 darts (100 in total). Although the value pack will set you back a bit more, it is a better choice as you will never run short of ammunition with this option.
